NOW THERE'S A SCARY THOUGHT...
Autumn is in the air, the leaves are turning, and the Halloween
costumes are on the racks in the local discount store. It's not just
another October, though--in about a month, we'll be electing the
President that'll carry us through the end of the millenium.
The debates are coming up (provided the goofy little guy with the
big ears doesn't get his sour-grapes suit through the courts), and
that'll be followed by the trick-or-treat season, otherwise known as
the final leg of the campaign.
Speaking of trick-or-treat, this is supposed to be an intro for
the October issue of Ruby's Pearls. Remember Ruby's? Of course you
do--you're reading it. Anyway, this issue has its own trick-or-treat
selection.
Colin Dale's tale of the man with the Doolittle eyes continues,
and my brother rants about camping. Between them is a doppelganger of
sorts, a ghost of sorts, and a brief resurrection.
Not a bad batch for the Halloween season, if I may say so myself.
Meanwhile, Ruby's back in the office, trying once again to earn a
living. Now *there's* a great example of trick-or-treat...
